Is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a top hospitality university, from which he received his B.S. degree in Hotel Management.
Graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, continuing education in food and beverage.
Currently sits on the IAHI Board of Directors.
Spent seventeen years with Servico Hotels & Resorts, owners of ninety hotels, spending the majority of his time managing Holiday Inns and Radisson Hotels and Resorts.
Maintained the lead management position for Servico's hotel acquisition team, purchasing 18 hotels.
Throughout his career, he has held the following positions: Director of Operations - 15 hotels, General manager - 10 years, Restaurant Manager and Food & Beverage Manager..
Due to decades of experience, he has developed expertise in the following areas: yield management, cash management, multi-property management, sales & marketing, and food & beverage.
Honors: General Manager of the Year for Servico Hotels and Holiday Inn Hotels.
Employer of the year nominee - city of Phoenix.

Rick Tomljenovic - Partner for Tristar

Currently serving as Tristar's Director of West/Southwest/Midwest/Eastern operations, overseeing on-site property management as well as project development.
Received his degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Forest Park College.
Was an instructor at Forest Park College for five years.
Has spent over twenty-five years in the hotel industry working in management positions that include General Manager, guest services-room division, accounting, and food & beverage.
With his experience, he brings vast knowledge in the fields of Cash Management, Accounting, Sales & Marketing, and take-over / turn-around properties.
Currently sits on the Carlson Hotel Owners Advisory Committee.
